After extensive laboratory tests, the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity in Melbourne has confirmed the antiviral effect of the HeiQ Viroblock NPJ03 textile technology, which we use in our reusable TQ-Mask mouth-nose masks. The Doherty Institute is a joint venture between the University of Melbourne and the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Part of the research project was a simulation of the real interaction of small aerosol droplets contaminating clothing. For this purpose, a known concentration of the SARS-CoV-2 virus was brought into contact with the sample tissue for 30 minutes, followed by measurement of the remaining infectious SARS-CoV-2 virus. The tissue sample treated with HeiQ Viroblock NPJ03 showed no infectious viruses after 30 minutes. The result showed a 99.99% reduction in SARS-CoV-2 viruses.
The laboratory tests prove that our reusable masks provide effective protection against the spread of SARS-CoV-2 and are suitable for effective two-way protection.
