Introduction to PRINCE2®

Duration: ~45 minutes

The first module will familiarise you with the structure of the course. We will explain the basic structure of PRINCE2 and introduce you to the practical example that we will return to throughout the course. After completing this module, you will know how to start a project.

Projects

Duration: ~35 minutes

What is a project? In order to gain a proper understanding of projects, they must be viewed in specific contexts.

Organization and business case

Duration: ~50 minutes

How do you get to grips with the biggest problems of project implementation? Targeted communication and the definition of benefits and goals as a decisive basis for planning.

Initiating a project, plans and progress

Duration: ~60 minutes

Translating business case requirements into plans and monitoring plans and progress - right from the start of the project.

Directing a project, managing the phase transition, risk

Duration: ~50 minutes

On what basis does the steering committee make its decisions? The basis for these decisions is the input of the project manager.

Quality, controlling a phase, managing product delivery

Duration: ~60 minutes

Getting to know the day-to-day business of project and team managers: processes "Controlling a phase" and "Managing product delivery", as well as defining quality criteria.

Issues and closing a project

Duration: ~50 minutes

Preparing, exam and certification

Duration: ~70 minutes

This module will prepare you for the PRINCE2 Foundation certification with an online exam simulation. You will receive general information about the examination and certification process. Sample exam papers with solutions are available for download.

Learning PRINCE2® in a varied way

Our online training courses are developed according to didactic findings with the assistance of media pedagogues and experienced trainers.

We pay attention to an interactive structure of our trainings in order to guarantee a sustainable learning success. The participants are not simply consumers, but are always actively involved in the training through various control elements and intermediate questions.

In order to convey the learning content in a playful way and to demonstrate its application in practice, we use various methods in the modules, such as:

  • Texts and explanatory videos in combination with exercises: The content included in this training is based on the original PeopleCert® literature. With different media (audio; video), interactive controls and playful exercises, we guide you through all exam-relevant contents analogous to the PeopleCert® framework curriculum.
  • The PRINCE2® story: The PRINCE2® story about the Greek hotel chain Mamadopoulos, which wants to change its previous concept and expand its services due to the financial crisis, illustrates the content with a practical example.
  • Learning objective test: Each module ends with a quiz with which you can test whether you can apply the terms you have learned and have internalized the theoretical content.
  • Download materials: Because all content is relevant for your practice in addition to preparing for the exam, we offer you, for example, the process model, as well as the compilations of the management products for download.

Testing and certification

On completion of the training course, you fulfill the necessary requirements to take the PeopleCert® certification exam.

The exam must be taken within 12 months of receiving the exam voucher. We will apply for the voucher on your behalf for an examination fee of EUR 415, which we charge in full to PeopleCert® - the certification institute. The exam registration is required by the PeopleCert® certification institute when you register for a course.

You take the certification exam online proctored on the PeopleCert® platform at a time of your choice (24/7/365). You have 60 minutes to answer the 60 multiple-choice questions (75 minutes if English is not your native language). You need 36 (60%) correct answers to pass the exam. You will receive the provisional result immediately after the exam. After successful completion of the exam, you will receive your personal international e-certificate in your PeopleCert® account within 48 hours.
