Please note: PRINCE2® 6th Edition certifications will soon be replaced by PRINCE2® 7

AXELOS and PeopleCert - as the rights holders of PRINCE2® - will discontinue the certifications for the 6th Edition of the project management methodology on June 30, 2024 and make them available in German for the new PRINCE2® 7 from mid-March 2024. If you have purchased a voucher for the PRINCE2® 6th Edition certification, you must have passed the exam by December 31, 2024, even if your voucher indicates a later validity date. PeopleCert will no longer offer exams for the older version from 2025.

From mid-March 2024, the certifications will be based on the new PRINCE2® 7. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

 

PRINCE2® and the PRINCE2® Process Model

PRINCE2® - "Projects In Controlled Environments" - is an internationally recognized project management method that was developed by the British government in the 1980s and has since become a proven set of rules used in many organizations worldwide for projects of various kinds.

It is based on defined procedures and methods and is thus intended to provide a structured and controlled approach to project management. According to PRINCE2®, the project is divided into 7 process stages, which are interlinked and contain activities that must be carried out by various defined roles with respective responsibilities.

In order to adapt it to new developments, PRINCE2® has been revised several times over the past almost 40 years and is now available in its latest version as PRINCE2® 6th Edition. Here, more emphasis has been placed on the individual adaptation of PRINCE2® to the respective project environment and the specifics of the respective company or organization. The collaboration between PRINCE2® and agile methods is also addressed, especially when it comes to product delivery.
