Our actions are embossed with authenticity, responsibility, credibility and dependability.
The digital development of the economy offers many chances to change the world in which we are living in a positive way. Just as in the case of the industrial development, these processes are, however, also still accompanied by negative by-products, affecting both the social interaction in the world as well as the conservation of an intact environment. This includes in particular poverty and equity, as well as the climate change. As a family-managed company, the iTSM Group takes its social responsibility very seriously. As social engagement for children in need is especially near to Siegfried Riedel’s heart, in 2017 he founded the Riedel Children’s Foundation. The iTSM Group supports the foundation to great extent and has thus become a permanent cooperation partner. Many employees have also engaged themselves personally, thus the topic Corporate Social Responsibility becoming meanwhile firmly anchored in the company philosophy.
With a clear orientation towards the future, the Riedel Children’s Foundation wishes to contribute in breaking the vicious cycle of poverty and in improving the survival chances of young people from the poorest layers worldwide.
Since 2017, the Riedel Children’s Foundation has been actively involved in children’s rights. Since 1989 there is the UN Children’s Rights Convention, which rules the right to life, health, education and many other Children’s rights. Despite this obligation under international law, children’s rights are still being massively harmed! This applies especially to the right to education, which lies at the focal point of the Riedel Children’s Foundation. The foundation sees the access to qualified education and schooling as a key to make a way out of poverty possible and to upvalue the survival chances of young people from clearly underprivileged regions.
At the present time, the Riedel Children’s Foundation fosters a school project in South Africa in particular, the construction of a primary and middle school in a socially and economically underprivileged settlement. In this context, a holistic approach is taken, where the point of the matter is, beyond the school attendance, to provide a reasonable occupation for the children and to provide them with sufficiently healthy nourishment. Thus, for instance, in collaboration with nutritional scientists, a muffin was developed in accordance with the WHO policies, which provides the children with all the important nutrients.
The pandemic has once again reminded us all of the importance of solidarity and a sense of community, and also made us realize that these values are not as firmly established in society as many would like.
Therefore, iTSM Group is especially pleased to fully support the Riedel Children's Foundation with this year's Christmas campaign, which is linked to our follower count on LinkedIn. There are no deductions for administration or organization: Here, every EUR really arrives!
Especially in times when the poorest of the poor are pushed out of the news by other messages, a support is especially important to us. And so we keep and maintain our tradition at Christmas to dispense with customer gifts and to contribute the corresponding amount to charitable projects or organizations instead.
Many employees involve themselves personally, for instance by adopting a child sponsorship in the scope of the Riedel Children’s Foundation. In Wolfsburg, on Christmas, the employees donate the proceeds of the coffee cash register to charitable purposes. Thus the Christmas Packet Convoy was supported several times and in a community action, pretty small trinkets were procured and packed as presents for underprivileged adolescents in the Ukraine, Bulgaria and Moldavia.
